Google’s Gemini Canvas has received a significant update that transforms it into a powerful presentation builder. The AI can now read any text document, such as a report or outline, and automatically generate a full, themed Google Slides presentation.
This new feature is all about saving time. The AI interprets your content, then designs a complete slide deck, creating titles, section breaks, and even finding relevant visuals. This eliminates the tedious process of manual formatting.
This new functionality is located in Gemini’s Canvas mode, which was previously known as an AI-powered writing and brainstorming space. Now, it can also transform those written ideas into a polished, visual format suitable for meetings or lectures.
For students and professionals, this is a breakthrough. The ability to go from a research paper to a presentation-ready deck in seconds streamlines workflows and boosts productivity.
The update is currently rolling out globally. It’s available for both personal Google accounts and Workspace users. While Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers seem to be getting it first, a wider rollout for all users is expected soon.
