Việt Nam is strengthening its collaboration with Singapore to enhance policy research, training, and capacity building for government officials. During a meeting with Singaporean Ambassador Jaya Ratnam, who paid a farewell visit at the end of his tenure, Nguyễn Xuân Thắng, Chairman of the Central Theory Council and President of the Hồ Chí Minh National Academy of Politics, praised the ambassador’s role in promoting ties between the Academy and Singaporean institutions, notably the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
Ambassador Ratnam proposed establishing a new cooperation platform — the Singapore–Việt Nam Strategic Policy Dialogue — to facilitate Party-to-Party exchanges and discussions on shared policy priorities. Thắng welcomed the idea, emphasizing the need to continue expanding collaboration within the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, especially in training programmes, research cooperation, and staff exchanges to build a high-quality workforce for both nations.
