Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “eternal truths” bind India and Israel, in a message of support after a deadly blast in Delhi. The Israeli leader reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with condolences for the eight victims of the Monday attack.
“India and Israel are ancient civilisations that stand on eternal truths,” Netanyahu stated. He said this shared foundation ensures their “souls” can never be “shaken” by acts of terror, even as their cities may be struck.
Netanyahu, speaking also for his wife Sara, offered “deepest condolences to the families of the victims.” He affirmed, “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength in this time,” offering robust support.
The Israeli leader ended his message with a note of conviction: “The light of our nations will outshine the darkness of our enemies.”
His message joins a wave of global solidarity as India’s investigators probe the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is now handling the case, which has been classified as a “terrorist attack.” Sources suggest a Jaish-e-Mohammad module is suspected.
